The Sunrise tour was fantastic. Our guide, Andres, was very friendly and knowledgeable. We saw many birds and the mangroves were beautiful. Since it was early, we did not see any other people in the forest during our tour which made it especially nice. We had four in our group and there was only one other couple on the tour with us.

Best Experience in Cancun!
Kayaking the Nichupte lagoon was definitely the highlight of our trip to Cancun. It’s an incredible experience to glide through the mangroves in those pristine waters. Our tour guide Axel was amazing, I highly recommend asking for him to be your guide. He taught us so much about the flora and fauna found in the lagoon. What a special place! Add this trip to your itinerary!

Peaceful kayaking through lagoon and mangroves. Jessica was an excellent guide to the wildife and plants of the area. Some of the kayaks were sit-on-tops, some were less comfortable Yakboards, all were fine since this was all easy paddling. PFDs and waivers were standard. Guide was prepared to instruct paddling technique, but we were fairly experienced, so she limited her tips to some pointers as needed for our youngest teen. We applied insect repellent as a precaution but didn't notice many mosquitoes. We booked an evening kayak, and the Cool Cancun listed time didn't line up with the summer sunset. Jessica did notify us of the time change, but we couldn't easily change our transportation arrangements. We spent the extra hour at the nearby Parroquia de Cristo Resucitado, which also offered pleasant shaded gardens and a Catholic bookstore with beautiful, affordable, Mexican-made crucifixes.

The absolute best instructor I met (Lars) was an amazing experience, have previously dived in Turkey, Dubai but never experienced such experience, this made the diving extremely safe and relaxed! I really had to ask all the questions I could think of and learn on a completely different level, after today I feel that I got more security in the water when it comes to diving! Lars is very keen that everything takes the time it requires and that there must be no stress, he makes sure that there is plenty of time for all elements.

This is a can’t miss experience for anyone who wants to get away from the noise of Cancun and immerse themselves in a serene nature experience. Andres is a wonderful guide who is clearly devoted to the preservation of Cancun’s mangrove eco-system. Saw many beautiful birds, fish, and multiple stingrays! Worth the early wake up!

Great experience. Good for beginners. Our guide Andres taught us the basic skills for Kayaking before we start and inform us of every step when we were passing through the channel. Andres also gave us good information about different sea life and animals in the region.Kayaking in the lagoon is an amazing experience and we arrived just in time for the beautiful sunset.It’s a shame that not many people would try this activity in Cancun. I strongly recommend for those who wants to do a bit of exercise, have fun and see the beautiful sunset.

We did this adventure in February- three adults and one 15 month old baby. we brought our own Coast Guard approved life vest for the baby- mom held the baby in a double kayak and was able to paddle, although she did not need to. Fabian, our guide, was very patient, accommodating and friendly. He took us on a suitable ride customized for our party (we were the only ones on our 9am tour). We saw fish, a large stingray, blue heron, different mangroves. It was utterly relaxing and beautiful. I'd do it again.
