If you’re in Cancun and thinking about booking an excursion, let this be your sign to DO IT! 😂🌴I had the pleasure of booking a catamaran excursion to Isla Mujeres with Oceanix Catamaran Tours Cancun, and it ended up being one of the highlights of my trip.From the moment we boarded Samba 3, Fernando and the entire crew were absolutely phenomenal. They were friendly, attentive, helpful, and—most importantly—they brought the vibes! 🎶🍹⛵️🥂 The CrewA special shoutout to Fernando, who went above and beyond to make sure I had an amazing experience.I was the only solo traveler on the excursion, and Fernando personally accompanied me while we toured Isla Mujeres. I decided to rent a golf cart to explore the island, and he came along as my personal guide.And I’m SO glad he did!Because of Fernando, I got to experience so much more of the island than I probably would have on my own. We explored the southern tip of Isla Mujeres, visited the cemetery, and took in some beautiful scenery along the way.🐠🌴 So Much to See & DoThe excursion wasn’t just about cruising around on the catamaran. We had the opportunity to snorkel and see some beautiful fish, explore the island by golf cart, and even stop for a tequila tasting. 🥃There was a great balance between adventure, sightseeing, relaxation, and just enjoying the day.As a solo traveler, I really appreciated how comfortable and welcomed Fernando and the crew made me feel. I never felt like I was on my own or left out of the experience.⭐️ Final ThoughtsThe entire crew did an amazing job creating a fun, welcoming atmosphere, and Fernando’s personal attention made my experience even more memorable.I’ve been on excursions where you feel like you’re just another person in the crowd. Great snorkeling tour!

Charly, Delsy and the photographer (can’t remember her name) were great guides. My favorite stops were the underwater cenotes and the shipwreck, both unusual sites to see. You’re able to deflate your vest and dive down briefly if you’re a strong swimmer. We saw lots of colorful fish and two sea turtles. The fish and turtles are used to snorkelers and let you get within a few feet.Logistics in case helpful: The boat had a dry spot to store our things and water was provided. There are two shower stalls when you get back, as well as a shop selling snacks, drinks and souvenirs. They even have espresso for sale. They provided a free photo of us (on land) and you can buy professional quality underwater photos if you’re interested, for $70 USD as of the time of this review. Since sunscreen isn’t allowed for the safety of the coral, I highly recommend a rash guard and shorts if you burn easily.

Once in a lifetime experience!!!

Incredible experience with a top-notch professional crew that supplies everything you need and makes sure you see the wonders of this beautiful area. We were beginners and felt safe the entries time. We saw many varieties of tropical fish, unique sea creatures, swam side-by-side with a sea turtle, explored underwater ruins and a shipwreck! All in crystal clear blue waters and documented by their incredible photographer! We were mesmerized! THE BEST part of our Cancún trip. Truly remarkable!
