Bucket list experience, a must do while in Cancun

I went into this experience with an open mind and felt that the guarantee to see a whale shark was what sold me on this trip. When I arrived, I was met by a very passionate guide named Flor, she was a marine biologist and extremely knowledgeable. I would recommend her and this trip to anyone that wants to feel safe and informed on any topics relating to our experience. This is a bucket list value for the experience. Better than I thought

Rafael, Claudia and June were phenomenal! We are a family of 5, my children are 9, 6 and 1. June our guide was amazing! He is extremely knowledgeable of the area and where to go for us to have the best experience . They are all great with children, June took my boys snorkeling twice, he was very prepared even bringing chips to let them feed the fish while they were in the water. My husband and I took a dip in the water while Claudia watched my daughter on board. The service was so good I would come back and ask just for them! We’ve been on a private yacht experience before and it wasn’t nearly as good as this time around. They also let my boys drive the boat on the way back and luckily they also caught a barracuda right before we docked. Thank you June, Claudia and Rafael for everything!!

Awesome Whale Shark Encounter!

The whale shark encounter is an amazing experience! We saw several whale sharks, rays and dolphins. Our guide Adolfo and Capt. Willie of the Hanny made sure we had a fun and safe experience. They were very caring when one of us got seasick as well. Our driver from PDC was safe and punctual. They provided gopro video of our experience at no extra charge too! This was our 4th tour with Kay Tours and we always have an awesome time!

Roberto picked us up at Barcelo Riviera Maya at 0515 and we were on our way to the start of an excellent day. Roberto was an excellent driver and most of the group continued to rest on the way North (Both my wife and daughter slept while Roberto and I had small talk as the sun came up on our drive) After about an hour and a half ride up to Cancun (Puerto Jaurez), we had a light breakfast, coffee and tea. After breakfast we were introduced to Captain Willie and Adolofo onboard the M/V Hanny. Roberto had prepared us a cooler with drinks (water, soda and cervezas) and handed the cooler over to Adolfo as we departed. It was about a 20 mile trip (about an hour ride) to the grounds where the Whale Sharks had been sighted this morning (sometimes they can be as close as 8 miles from port). Captain Willie and Adolofo treated us like they had been doing this for their whole life, very educated and knowledgeable seaman and very respectful of me and my family, from seating, to controlling sea spray during the trip, to stopping to see a couple turtles that we were passing. We saw flying fish upon shortly leaving port and both Captain Willie and Adolfo were quick to point them out to the personnel on the boat (we had a total of 7 other passengers that had booked through other tour companies, but we undoubtedly received VIP service from this crew!! The actual main event of the day is one that is indescribable, 6 ft from a Whale Shark?!?!?! What more can you say. We got two opportunities to get in and swim with these magnificent creatures and it surely paid off. After this once in a lifetime experience, we made a brief stop at Isla Mujeres' North Beach and the. Captain Willie continued to impress with THE BEST CEVICHE I had ever had along with freshly made (yes made on the boat) guacamole! After the break from food and swimming we returned to Port where we were promptly greeted by Roberto again and made our way back to Barcelo. Again Roberto was a very respectful driver on the return trip and will ensure all needs are met!! This trip would be rated 6 stars if that was an option!!

Unique adventure! Beautiful!!

Axel was a great guide! We were worried about a company that would be responsible towards nature. He was really into preserving nature and passing on information He made the whole day be an unforgettable experience The 3 places we went to were unique and very different, with lots of different things to see The lunch we had in a local restaurant was very good, that type of food that feels like hug I will recommend them! 10 stars!!

Stellar Experience

Our group of 6 (3 teens and 3 adults) had a wonderful experience on The Riviera Maya Wildlife Experience. They customized the day to meet our interests and were very flexible when our needs changed.Axel and Marvis picked us up from our resort in a very comfortable and well maintained shuttle van. The day began with a private boat ride to the Puerto Morelos Coral Reef National Park. It is very close to shore, so my worries about motion sickness were not realized. We did two 30-minute snorkels and it was amazing! We saw 2 sea turtles, several rays, a barracuda, and many tropical cal fish. The local expert was very kind and helpful.Back in the van, we enjoyed a snack and refreshements. We were then transported to Toolok Kaa’n, a local wildlife conservation sanctuary, specializing in reptiles. We enjoyed the hands on experience with iguanas, crocodiles, turtles, and snakes. Maestro Ken and volunteer Heidi were great guides.We then got back in the van to drive through a Mayan community to a protected cenote. We had a private refreshing swim in the beautiful clear water surrounded by jungle. We had the opportunity to kayak the other larger cenote onsite, but we were ready for lunch after our adventures.Instead of heading back to Puerto Morelos for fish tacos, Axel recommended a local Mayan barbecue, Restaurante La Pimienta. We all had a plates of ribs with rice, beans, tortillas, cucumbers, and tomatoes. It was a fantastic meal.We felt safe, comfortable, and confident with Axel guiding us and Marvis doing the driving. Axel was very knowledgeable, kind, and fun. Everyone really enjoyed the day. I would absolutely do another tour with Jaguar Journey

Whale shark trip

My wife, myself and the kids had a fantastic day swimming with whale sharks. The crew were fun and helpful. They also made my apprehensive wife feel very safe, cindy looked after her. After she swam she was delighted she had found the courage and thought the whale sharks were very friendly. A tasty cerviche lunch and a swim in azure waters topped off an unforgettable day. Thanks to the team!

I had so much fun! The ride - I really appreciate they were willing to come out to Costa Mujeres to get us. Not many companies were willing that I could find. The marina - you can change at the marina. Be sure to use the bathroom because there is not any bathroom on the small boats and you're on them for around 3 hours. They offer a pastry to eat before leaving. The boat ride - very bouncy (which I loved). We had 8 total people on our boat, 4 couples. It was really great having such a small group without children!! It took over an hour to get to the location of the whale sharks. Same amount of time to come back but we stopped at Isla Mujeres. Have plenty of sun protection with you. The cool part - you must wear either a life jacket or rent a wet suit. They provide snorkel equipment on the boat. We went in one couple at a time, jumping from the boat (about 2 feet of a jump). The Capt would line up with a whale shark and you'd jump in, with the swimming guide, towards the front of the whale shark but at least 6 ft away. The swimming guide had a go pro taking pictures and videos throughout. He also made sure we were seeing as much of the whale shark as possible. They are fast, but you can use your flippers to swim alongside it for a few minutes. Once it swims away or dives down, the guide helps you get back to the boat where you have to climb up back into the boat via ladder. Again, pretty bouncy. Each couple repeated this process a few times. The ride back - just as bouncy and lengthy as the ride to the whale sharks. However, you still at Isla Mujeres and can jump into the gorgeous water and swim. It's not deep. We were on the water for about 30 minutes and the guide took more pictures with his GoPro. This was a really nice part of the tour to wind down and soak in what we just got to see. The lunch - when we were back on the boat they gave us ceviche and a ham and cheese croissant sandwich. Both were good. I really love ceviche in general, but this was really great! I ate all of mine and got seconds. The end - it was a short ride back from Isla Mujeres to the marina. Once back, you can view and purchase the pictures and videos they took. It's pricey, but we planned for it. They also sell a few souvenirs. If you do purchase the pics/vids, they give you a SD card before you leave and later email you a link to download them. We were then taken back to our hotel. Need cash for the marina fee ($20usd ea) and tips for driver and the boat guide and Captain. Can use card for wet suit rental, souvenirs and pics/vids. We had a blast!!! Everything was pleasant and fun!

Amazing time on Miss Cat!!

Amazing! We had a group of 13 people. Family and a couple of friends who traveled to Cancun to celebrate my wife's birthday. We rented Miss Cat for 7 hours and had an incredible time. Everybody loved the trip, the crew is very service oriented and did a terrific job. We have been on this boat before and will continue to visit them.In fact, we are bringing friends from Florida in August 2025 and are also booking another trip with Miss Cat for Jun 2026.
