Ek Balam is an amazing place, and Miguel is a superb driver and guide. We had a private tour and that made it extra special as he customized the tour just for us. It’s one of the few (or only) ruins you can still climb, and three of us were adventurous enough to do that. And the cenote was both gorgeous and FUN — and I loved that they had life jackets because I’m not so good at treading water. I hope they Miguel a raise — he is one of the best guides EVER!

Just back from a trip to the Yucatan Peninsula where we used the services of Oscar Zermeno for all our travel needs and I felt the need to write this review so that everyone has the chance to meet Oscar and to use his transport company. We had a WhatsApp call with Oscar before we went to Mexico so that we could see if we were going to get on with travelling together and everything was just great.It turns out that Oscar is one of a kind - he's a careful and considerate driver, his car is immaculately clean, he provides water for the journey, he makes regular stops for bathrooms and snack purchasing if you need them, his pricing for travel is fair, he keeps you updated with messages regarding pick up and drop off times.Oscar is well organised so we made all our arrangements with him ahead of our trip, he speaks great English and he's very knowledgeable about all parts of the Yucatan Peninsula including out of the way treasures like Xcambo - a Mayan site we visited on Oscar's recommendation which was really special.Oscar is good company at the same time as being attentive to all his clients needs including any health issues they might have. We were sad to say 'Goodbye' to Oscar as it felt like leaving a friend even after such a short time so we're happy to write this review to encourage any and all who are planning to travel to the Yucatan Peninsula to get in touch with Oscar and experience his professionalism, good company and kindness.Helen Foster

Our driver Carlos and tour guide Alberto were both awesome! So knowledgeable and friendly and Tulum was beautiful! Danny, our cenote tour guide also provided an amazing experience, we learned so much during both tours and the service was top notch! I cannot recommend this enough! If you’re on the fence, I recommend you do it, you really will not regret it!!!

We were hesitant to go into Cancun not knowing anything about Mexico so I messaged the company directly to ask a few questions and Franklin made everything so easy to plan and was very laid back and when we met him he was very kind, gentle and humble. From the moment he picked us up, I knew we had made the right decision.We wanted to shop a little more for Souvenirs since we are on a shorter time limit here and didn’t really know what to do. Franklin customized an itinerary for us and helped me and my 12 year old daughter whatever we were looking for, he also negotiated for us and made sure we knew if the price was a good deal or if we should move on since a lot of venders sell the same or similar products. As we made our way further into the market people were much more helpful and their prices were much better compared to where we started. Franklin refused commission when offered to entice us to buy from them, and asked the to just give us the best price that they could. We walked out feeling accomplished and that we had saved a ton of money compared to what we would have spent without him.He was very straight forward, pulling us aside at times and explaining how everything worked and was completely transparent about everything that was happening.Since we had two children (15, and 12) and don’t drink much we opted out of the tequila tasting.Franklin then brought us to an ice cream shop and to an amazing authentic Mexican restaurant and we took many pictures at the Cancun sign there.He offered to take us to the other Cancun sign for more pictures but all of us were exhausted by that time and very full 😂If you want to go to Cancun with someone who knows where to go, explains the culture to you and helps you instead of letting you flounder, then this is the tour for you. It’s not just about shopping, it’s the experience. And Franklin made sure we had a great experience from pick up to drop off.

Saúl and Raymundo were fabulous and fun. This was a great tour, rustic and not overly crowded or touristy. We explored Ek Balam and climbed the temple steps, visited a beautiful cenote, had a wonderful meal in Valladolid, and ended with a tequila tasting/tour. I have been on several trips to this area and this was definitely one of the funnest days.

This was an amazing way to see more of Mexico. Jessie was a fun and helpful guide. She kept us on schedule, ahead of the crowd, and safe on our adventures. A few things for future tourists. Be ready with your own towels, snacks, and water. The tour doesn't provide any of this. They did provide a meal prepared by locals that we ate after the ziplining. By this time, we were hungry and ready for food. It was delicious and the people were so kind. Come prepared with cash to tip your tour guide, the people that help with your ziplining experience, and the locals that provide your meal. The van was air conditioned and a comfortable way to get around. There is no need to rent an ATV at the first stop. Walking is very doable for all ages or use a bike like we did. Biking just added some fun to our exploration. The cenotes are absolutely beautiful and so cool to explore. They have restrooms at each stop, which was convenient. Leticia was our photographer. She followed us around and caught some beautiful moments that we later purchased for $200 USD (this was optional, we could have declined). You don't need cash for this part, she accepted a credit card. Our family absolutely loved this tour and we would book it again. It was a unique, memorable day.

This is a fantastic tour for people interested in exposure to Cancun culture, history, and ongoing archeological discoveries. We found we booked a private tour, just us 4 friends, Ruben our tour guide and Antonio our driver. We first stopped at Playa Delfinius, the most beautiful public beach we've seen. They have Cancun in large letters to take pictures. Next the Mayan Museum filled with Archaeological finds which our guide was very informative of their history and purpose. We then went to an active archaeological site El Meco which our guide provided thorough descriptions of finds and how the culture lived. We finally stopped at Mercado 28 for shopping. We bought lovely handmade items. We finished our tour across the street at a coffee and bake shop which was an enjoyable find of specialty coffees, desserts etc.

This tour was one of the highlights of our vacation. We started at Chichén Itzá, which was absolutely stunning—so much history and the guide made it really engaging.Then we cooled off at Cenote Oxman, which was seriously magical. The water was super refreshing and the place itself felt like something out of a movie.Finally, we visited Valladolid, a beautiful little town with colorful streets and delicious food. Such a nice way to end the day!Everything was well organized, the transportation was comfortable, and the team was super friendly and helpful. Highly recommend this tour if you're in the area!

We did the tour to Chichen Itza, the cenote, and Valladolid, and it was an amazing experience! Everything was really well organized, and the tour was very complete. The drinks provided throughout the day were a nice touch to keep us refreshed. The guides were super friendly, always attentive to our questions, and especially helped my mom, who needed a little extra support during the day. They gave us great explanations about Chichen Itza, and the stop in Valladolid was perfect for a rest. I’d definitely recommend this tour!

Absolutely WONDERFUL experience! My wife, brother, and sis-in-law elected to arrange private transportation, with Cool Cancun, to avoid getting on a massive coach bus with hundreds of people. This private transportation made it a LOT more intimate, private, and relaxing. It also allowed us to customize how long we spent at each location. Our driver called ahead to Chichen Itza (Mayan Pyramid) to arrange a private tour for us before we arrived and took us to a favorite local restaurant in Valladolid (AMAZING FOOD).I HIGHLY recommend this for groups of 8 of less that are looking for something different, private, and customizable.
