Seriously, you can stop searching for tours now. We have been fortunate to go on many tours in different countries with our children. This was THE best. Paul is incredibly knowledgeable and hospitable. He was so accommodating and willing to change the itinerary as one of our children started to not feel well on the tour. He made sure that everyone was taken care of and we learned so much!Paul picked us up from our hotel lobby. He communicated clearly what we should bring with us and what he would bring. He was on time and let us know as he was approaching.It was an absolute pleasure to talk to Paul on the drive to Chichan Itza (which is not a short drive!). He is interesting and engaging. He gave us some relevant history and was able to answer our questions. He partners with a local guide at chichen itza who is brilliant. The other guides were all friendly and it is clear that he is well-liked by the broader community, which speaks to how he interacts with others. We took a long time here asking many questions and shopping with the local artists. Paul never rushed us and gave us as much time as we needed.We went to a fantastic lunch at a small roadside restaurant that was packed with locals (it was a local holiday the day that we went). He is friends with the cooks and one of my children was able to make tortillas with them.The cenote that we went to was great! Paul gave us the inside scoop so that we skipped lines and knew the best ways to have fun there. He tailored the choice of cenote to the interests of our family and the timing of our arrival to ensure the best experience.Our last stop was a town that we ended up not exploring much because one of our children started to not feel well. He adapted the schedule so that our son was more comfortable while making sure that we still got to try the amazing food there.Really, I can not say enough good things about this experience. As a professional researcher, I can assure you that you can stop searching now and just book!

This was our second time on this excursion, and it was just as amazing as our first. We were picked up at our hotel and shuttled to the port, where our boat was waiting, and we boarded quickly.Daniel and the crew created the perfect afternoon for our family of five. Pictures simply don't do the water justice, it is absolutely breathtaking. We spent the afternoon sailing, relaxing at a beautiful sandbar, taking a quick tour of the town with Daniel, snorkeling with Daniel as our guide, and finishing with more time sailing.From start to finish, the crew anticipated our every need and made our family feel truly special. This is hands down our favorite excursion we've ever taken, and that's why we came back a second time. I can't recommend Daniel and crew highly enough!

Highly recommended private tour with Alejandro and Jose
I booked a private tour of Tulum and Coba ruins with Cool Cancun for July 28, 2026 for my boyfriend and myself. Alejandro and Jose were excited to pick us up promptly and were extremely accommodating. Jose did an excellent job o navigating while Alejandro briefes us about the trip. During the drive, Alejandro gave us an informative masterclass of the Mayan culture's ways of life along with visual aids to make the information come alive. He has an indepth understanding of the advanced recording, timekeeping and mathematical systems of the Mayan people. Alejandro showed us housing structures, temples and paintings. We were in awe of his wealth of experience and knowledge. He dialoged with us to answer all of our questions into the past and how it connects with the present. Through his eyes, we learned so much and it was apparent rhat his passion for teaching has lifted his learners to higher levels of understanding. He offered us to climb Nohoch Mul, one of the only preserved ruins that Cool Cancuns can access. We did so enthusiastically and he offered to record our photos for posterity. Alejandro was informative about the history of each ruin, specifically pointing out the development of the ball courts in Coba. We learned more in one session with Alejandro than I had learned in my previous trips to archeological sites combined. He was extremely fluent in English which we appreciated very much. We stopped for a buffet lunch at a wonderful restaurant in Coba. The cuisine and service were both excellent. I cannot thank Alejandro enough for the excellent tour and Jose for driving.
