We had an absolutely fantastic trip to Coba and the cenote today. A huge part of what made the day so special was our guide, Stefi, who was amazing from start to finish.She was incredibly knowledgeable about the Mayan ruins, history and traditions, but also made everything great fun. Her enthusiasm and personality really brought Coba to life, and we learned so much without it ever feeling like a history lesson!The visit to the ruins was fascinating, and the cenote swim was exceptional — an unforgettable experience and the perfect way to finish the day.A brilliant combination of history, culture, fun and adventure. The tour was excellent, Marco our guide was an excellent person with very good treatment of all the family members. Marco has a lot of experience in selecting very specific sections in Chichén Itzá to enjoy the tour, showing us where to take very good photos and knowing and showing us more about the acoustics of the place, as well as avoiding crowds. We will not hesitate to hire their services again on another occasion. Thanks for everything.

Highly recommended private tour with Alejandro and Jose
I booked a private tour of Tulum and Coba ruins with Cool Cancun for July 28, 2026 for my boyfriend and myself. Alejandro and Jose were excited to pick us up promptly and were extremely accommodating. Jose did an excellent job o navigating while Alejandro briefes us about the trip. During the drive, Alejandro gave us an informative masterclass of the Mayan culture's ways of life along with visual aids to make the information come alive. He has an indepth understanding of the advanced recording, timekeeping and mathematical systems of the Mayan people. Alejandro showed us housing structures, temples and paintings. We were in awe of his wealth of experience and knowledge. He dialoged with us to answer all of our questions into the past and how it connects with the present. Through his eyes, we learned so much and it was apparent rhat his passion for teaching has lifted his learners to higher levels of understanding. He offered us to climb Nohoch Mul, one of the only preserved ruins that Cool Cancuns can access. We did so enthusiastically and he offered to record our photos for posterity. Alejandro was informative about the history of each ruin, specifically pointing out the development of the ball courts in Coba. We learned more in one session with Alejandro than I had learned in my previous trips to archeological sites combined. He was extremely fluent in English which we appreciated very much. We stopped for a buffet lunch at a wonderful restaurant in Coba. The cuisine and service were both excellent. I cannot thank Alejandro enough for the excellent tour and Jose for driving. The tour guide was wonderful, warm and funny. Knowledgeable about the history and traditions of the Mayan culture. We learned a lot. It was a long tiring day but well worth it. My only complaint is about the car; it was a bit uncomfortable, especially for my husband who is pretty tall. We had a long drive otherwise I wouldn’t even mention it.

Gabriel was terrific. we changed the scope of the trip to include Cenote enroute- no problem! Needed to stay on a tight schedule- no problem, he adapted the ruins tour to exactly the depth of experience the group wanted. The Cenote he recommended was not crowded. His depth of local knowledge and Mayan culture exceeded expectations. All that and a genuine warm personality!

Great tour of 2 sites: Coba was much more active (choice to bike through the site and climb) and Tulum was beautiful. Super convenient and comfortable to be picked up from our hotel and the van was well stocked with snacks. Guide and driver were both very friendly, knowledgeable and patient with the pace of my family that spanned the ages of 10-75.

Hello, I advise you to go directly to the beach, no need to pay a provider, if you arrive from the direction of Playa del Carmen ask the bus driver: stink stop Akumal, climb the bridge steps , more careful to cross the road. Then take the 1st road on your left, go to the end of this road, without stopping at the service providers, after paying access, contact the &der provider, wooden cabin, on the beach. Ask Miguel, he's very nice, and if you're not good at swimming he'll pull you off with his buoy. Oh, great. ESPECIALLY IMPERATIVE YOU HAVE TO BE THERE AT THE OPENING AT 8 O'CLOCK, there is hardly anyone in the water, which is easier to see turtles that are free.

Our driver Carlos and tour guide Alberto were both awesome! So knowledgeable and friendly and Tulum was beautiful! Danny, our cenote tour guide also provided an amazing experience, we learned so much during both tours and the service was top notch! I cannot recommend this enough! If you’re on the fence, I recommend you do it, you really will not regret it!!!

We did a food tour with Paul and it was outstanding! Our first stop was a truly local restaurant. I would almost describe it as a “speak easy”. You enter a convenience store and go to the back and then go upstairs to a complete surprise! It was a fantastic setting right on the water. We enjoyed a beer and some of the best shrimp ceviche I ever tasted. 2nd stop was in the main square of Cancun. One again, it felt as though only locals were visiting this area. There was music, kids playing, and tons of food vendors. We had a dessert called a marquesita. It was delicious!! 3rd stop was in the crazy area near Congo Bongo. We had some tacos el pastor at a restaurant in this area. Although not my atmosphere, it was fun to people watch and experience a bit of the Cancun night life. Last stop was a seafood/taco restaurant further down in the Hotel Zone. We had fish empanadas and a cocktail. Another fantastic choice and a great way to end the evening. Paul’s tour does an amazing job, showing 4 different types of restaurants, all with a different vibe. He is a fun, knowledgeable person and also teaches you about the history of Cancun. Do not hesitate to book a tour with him!!

Saúl and Raymundo were fabulous and fun. This was a great tour, rustic and not overly crowded or touristy. We explored Ek Balam and climbed the temple steps, visited a beautiful cenote, had a wonderful meal in Valladolid, and ended with a tequila tasting/tour. I have been on several trips to this area and this was definitely one of the funnest days.

I 100% recommend to take the tour of Chichén Itzá with Marco. He speaks both English and Spanish clearly and with a lot of details! There is never a dull moment with him! He took photos of us at the historic monuments and taught us a lot of the architecture and carvings on the walls. After that, we went to a nearby cenote and gave us plenty of time to enjoy and relax. The driver that took us too and from Chichén Itzá was awesome. The ride was smooth and fast without making one feel worried. Nothing but a positive experience.
