Full day, early start, but 100% worth it!

This was our second trip to Cancun, this time we wanted something different so we pick this two cenote experience. You do have to wake up early and spend some time on the bus, but it goes by quickly.Chichen Itza was incredible (definitely bring a hat and sunscreen) and the cenotes made this tour worth it. Once we step on Suytun we went jaw dropped, definitely the most beautiful cave we have ever been to! We choose to wait in the line for the photo and leave the other cenote for swimming. Long day but came back with photos of ancient pyramidds and underground caves was way better than just doing another pool day.

Good for history beginners

We don't know much about Maya history and that was actually fine. Paty our guide explained enough at Chichen Itza for us to understand what we were seeing without assuming everyone already knew the background. We left with a few facts we will probably remember and a lot more context that we started with. A few explanations gave us enough knowledge to see why certain structures mattered and free time let us process it without more information coming. We left curious enough to read more later. Great cenotes, great tour overall!

Easy to recommend

This tour made sense from start to finish. We didn't have to organize separate tickets, food or transportation and that let us enjoy Chichen Itza instead of managing details. Yunchen was refreshing, our guide was the soul of the trip (shout out to Angel) and the whole day felt well put together. We don't usually take full itineraries, but this one felt like the smart way to see the main places.

Anna Helped us before the tour, Angel guided us through Chichen Itza and Ernesto made the ride feel safe and steady. That mix of online help and in-person care stood out. Cenote was the perfect moment to chill after the ruins. We liked that taxes were included. My favorite part was that each person seemed to have a different highlight, which says a lot about the tour. If felt like staff knew what travelers worry about and quietly solve it before it became an issue. Very recommended!

Unbeatable service

We have spent a week in the Riviera Maya and it has been an incredible trip. Even more so thanks to the people at Exotic Mayan Tours. We have taken several excursions with them and the experience has been unbeatable, from the moment we booked with them from Spain to the execution of the excursions, organized to experience things to the fullest, avoiding crowds, etc. Always accompanying us with a smile, attentive to every detail. One hundred percent recommended. We went on three excursions, Chichén Itzá with the Oxman and Suytun cenotes, Tulum and Cobá with swimming with turtles, and Isla Mujeres with Isla Contoy, and in all of them we had an unbeatable experience. Best tour guide I’ve ever experienced. Easy 10/10.

Esther and Juan Carlos were the best tour guides I’ve ever had. They were so knowledgeable and super funny. Gave us a lot of time to do our own things but gave us a lot about the history, language and culture or the Mayans and area. They accommodated us of 6 including my brother who is special needs (can walk but has a very hard time). They also were very accommodating in helping get our tickets, snacks, translating and warning us about dangerous areas and vendors. Highly recommend booking through them!
