Amazing tour

Except for the weather, which was bad, the guide and his team were very kind to us! I loved discovering a place while having free time on the beach. The bus ride is long, but you can sleep while waiting. The visit to Yalahau was beautiful as well, and we could swim there.

Great day at the pyramid et al.

It is a long day, but well worth it. There are enough stops & toilet breaks to break it up. Make sure you have a good breakfast or take a few snacks and water as lunch is a few hours after the start.Our trip was on a large bus from Playa Del Carmen with a few others joining the bus from a minibus (van) at a petrol (gas) station. The air-con blasted a bit so might be worth taking a sweater just for the journey itself.Our trip had a Mexican guide who spoke great English and he spoke for almost all of the outward journey with some great info about the Mayan culture. And was mostly silent on the return journey to let people sleep as it was getting dark and we were tired. And in particular I found the history of their counting system and calendar fascinating (and even earnt myself a cold beer with a correct calculation :) ). They offer you the chance to buy your own dedicated Mayan "birth certificate" which a handful of people on the bus chose to do.Expect to see plenty of hawkers trying to sell you stuff, but easy to dismiss politely.The pyramid is well worth the trip and despite having lots of people around, the site is large enough to allow plenty of opportunity to get your personal photos/selfies.The Cenote where we swam was also a great bonus (and the water is less cold than the mandatory shower you have to take first). But you can decline the whole thing and sit at the snack bar - or access the large Cenote just for photos which requires a life jacket (as steep & slippery steps to get down and the ledge is slippery) - but there is also a smaller Cenote at the lunch stop where you can take some photos without going anywhere near the water or paying for a lifejacket.The lunch stop was a welcome break and the food ok - wuith spicy and non-spicy options. Depending on the level of trip you have paid for, you may or may not have drinks included but you can purchase some if not.We stopped in a Mayan village which was very interesting. They showed us some of their carvings which were exquisite and ceremonies. And we had a multiple tequila tasting (I loved the Mango - note bottles are $39US at the airport duty free or $49 in PDC)We also stopped in Valladolid which is a very picturesque town with numerous coloured facades and a great central square. We only had 30 minutes there but i think a couple of hours or more would be worth it if you have more flexibility.Overall a fabulous day out.

You feel extremely well taken care of the friendliness and warmth of all the staff is a real treat! I highly recommend this travel agency! You feel completely pampered and in the best hands!Another highlight was, of course, the simply breathtaking island of Holbox! A must-see for anyone visiting the Yucatan Peninsula—the sandbar and the charming island town with its small shops, rustic hotels, and delightful inhabitants! The tour was exceptionally well-planned, culminating in a refreshing dip into a wonderful spring in the shade of the trees! Plus there is an observation platform high above the treetops!

Amazing staff and beautiful island

The staff was kind and friendly from start to finish, it was pretty obvious that they were giving out their best since no one stopped even for a moment lolWe had a short visit at Isla Mujeres to walk around, we got to see good stuff and tried some street foodThe snorkel at Contoy made my friends love Mexico! It was amazing seeing so many diferent species of fish and coral, we got a guide that gave us an explanation about them at the end

Breathtaking!

This was one of the stops on our way to Chichen Itza. We stayed there for an hour but was only able to swim for less than 15 minutes. We had to get changed, shower and put on life jackets before we could get in. Not to mention we took photos with the Mayan who were performing rituals near the entrance to the cenote. Also, we had to get lockers for our stuff. We should have never brought them all with us and left them in the bus. It is understandable because it was our first time and we did not know any better. Overall, it was a very amazing experience.

Great tour! Amazing experience!!

This tour is really an incredible experience. Things to know that may be helpful….1. It’s a very long day but it’s definitely worth it! 2. We went at the beginning of June and it was very hot (100° F) so be prepared to protect your skin and head… hats, sunglasses and umbrellas will serve you well. 3. Our guides (Blalio and Marco our driver) were phenomenal. So genuine and informative and just so lovely! 4. Ek Balám is smaller and just as amazing… climbing the acropolis takes good physical abilities especially in the heat. So just be prepared. Getting to the top provided incredible views. Highly recommend. 5. The cenote was an out of this world experience. We were AMAZED! Just the most beautiful natural creation we’ve ever seen. LOVED IT. 6. Mayan culture is fascinating. Thanks to our guide he educated us and we came out better people for becoming familiar with this culture. Take the time to learn. 7. Chichen Itza is properly named a “wonder of the world”. The temples architecture and engineering are mind blowing. Also don’t overlook the football field! We wish we had more time to wonder around a little bit more. But with the heat we don’t know how much more time we could’ve actually used.All this to say you can’t go wrong with this tour. We are so grateful to have been able to experience this! Be prepared for a long day… take a siesta on the ride… relax and enjoy!
