10/10 Recommend for large groups

Best experience made 10x better because of the tour guide, Abbi. He was attentive, on time, kept us on track for scheduling throughout the day, (and we were 9 indecisive people), all the while being totally flexible to letting us decide the flow of our day. He recommended a lot of extra things to do later in our trip and pulled over for a coffee break where we got to meet dome locals and spontaneously try some empenadas. The more open you are to experiences, the more fun i think youre going to have. Food was surprisingly amazing at the buffet, above par for sure! And what a beautiful cenote! 10/10 recommend from a large group!

Plan for a long trip.

The travel time is much greater than explained or anticipated. We were the first to be picked up and were on the bus for 5+ hours before the first excursion stop. In total we were gone 6am until 9pm. We weren't expecting to be so late returning and missing dinner

Great experience - beware of time commitment

The experiences were amazing. The trip was 15.5 hours instead of 10-12 so that needs to be updated so you don’t make plans for that evening.The show we stopped at before getting to Chichen Itza tried to sell us an item for 12,000 pesos once they told us it was going to be 1,000 pesos.Pay by cash so you don’t spend more than you want to spend.

Great guide and experience, but not accurate in itinerary

Tulum and Akumal tours were great; Tanya was our Mayan tour guide and she did a great job explaining the Mayan culture in the Tulum ruins. Akumal snorkeling was phenomenal - all the turtles were super cute!However, the booking we received did not include the 3 Zapotes cenote even though it was advertised on the itinerary. We were excited for the cenote, so we were disappointed when they told us that it was not part of the excursion anymore.

Amazing trip - poor vehicle exchange

This trip was amazing. They did a great job of explaining the history of the area and Josue and Roberto were great tour guides. Chichén Itzá is an amazing experience and the cenote is gorgeous. The only issue we had was in the morning. We took a van to a store where they separated us on to buses. The group almost put me and my wife on the wrong bus. The only reason we figured it out is because another group was assigned the same seat on the other bus. They initially dismissed our concerns before figuring out the issue. I would recommend the trip, just be prepared to lose half an hour to a poorly planned vehicle exchange system and if something doesn’t seem right, don’t let them dismiss your concerns.

Worthwhile but long tour

We're glad we took this tour but we got a bit dizzy with all the requests for extra money. Taxes and fees were 3x the cost of the actual tour. Throughout the 12 + hour tour we were given constant opportunities to pay and tip more and more. This never ended until last moment of trip.

Don't believe everything in the ad

This was our second tour in Mexico, so we were more prepared...We had a problem with our drinks on board the bus, because we were told that they were not included in the price, even though I had consulted it the day before and they had said yes, besides, that the ticket said it!. Finally, after showing them the ticket they gave us the drinks without charge. At the end of the day there was no water, if that was where the drinks included. On the other hand, although it indicates pickup at the hotel you are never picked up there, nor left at that point, when the hotel is in the center of Playa del Carmen. Watch this if you consider it.

The tour was good! We enjoyed ourselves. The only thing I have to complain is going to Playa del Carmen there’s no time. We got there late and the group did not enjoy anything. The tour has to cut the last part.

Stunning Cenotes, but Logistical Issues

We recently took this tour and while the destinations themselves were stunning, there were a few logistical issues worth mentioning. First, hotel pick-up wasn’t available, so we had to take a cab, which was just a 5-minute ride but cost us $40. Additionally, the pick-up spot had confusing rules, and we ended up waiting on the sidewalk off-property. The van ride was extremely bumpy and cramped, and the box lunch was a basic homemade sandwich with processed cheese and deli meat, which I couldn’t eat because I'm pregnant.That said, the cenotes we visited were absolutely beautiful—crystal-clear water and lush green surroundings, but the time at each stop felt rushed with only about an hour at each location. There was a lot of driving between spots as well. A highlight was that the driver kindly took us directly back to our hotel afterward, which we really appreciated. Overall, it's a good excursion with amazing sights, but be prepared for some discomfort and limited time at each location.

Very good just not the same order as the itinerary

The tour guides and the entire experience was amazing and no knock on the guides, drivers, etc. They were great and very professional. I know they are not part of Cool Cancun which is a third party. However, I booked this specific tour versus the other options bc of the itinerary. I wanted to go to chichen first like stated in the itinerary, then cenotes so I wouldn’t be wet first then change into dry clothes and get wet again by the time we went to the 2nd cenote I was completely dry and had to put my wet clothes back on. Also pickup was not at 6 like stated when booking but 7ish (I was notified in advance by the tour guide). Also the visit to Valladolid was only 30 and not enough time for anything after going to the bathroom and waiting in the long line there was no time for anything left. To my understanding when booking, i thought we had an hour.The pros: chichen itza, 2 cenotes were great, we got a sack bfast/snack, cold water when starting chichen, and cold water when boarding, great buffet lunch, bilingual tour guides which were very knowledgeable. Take cash for tips and souvenirs.

Only book tours with CANCUN BAY!!!! ❤️

The ATVs, ziplines, horseback and cenote was a bad experience for me that was because of the company they rushed you on every activity, scammed you on your experience with not allowing you to take your own photos and charging you criminal prices to buy it of them also two people of the group fell of the horses and they didnt listen when I said wanted to ride with my husband as it was our honeymoon. We had like 20mins or less with each activity but longed out the meal at the end so you can spend lots of money in their restaurants and tried to charge us for the meal that was included with package this company was called extreme adventure cancun AVOID!!!!.The tulum, coba, cenote and playa del carmen tour was everything I loved this company and was the only reason way I rated 4 stars Raymond and Nathan was the best tour guides this was a whole day trip and was worth every penny and time I highly recommend just booking with CANCUN BAY!!! company as you will not feel disappointed they where funny, good listeners, very experienced and knowledgeable people who will make your tour rememberable many thanks to them it was a highlight our honeymoon hoilday.

Great day!

Very well organized trip, we were picked up at our hotel and returned there at the end. Sites are amazing, both cenote and Chichen itza is a must to see if you are in Mexico. Tour guides were very entertaining and gave us a lot of information as well. The only thing we didn’t like that much was the first stop where we had lunch and were encouraged to spend money in the shop… this stop could have be much shorter and the last stop in Valladolid should have been at least 1hr (instead of 30min) Here we were rushed to grab some food and take it to the bus. We didn’t have any chance to see the city as we were waiting for food and then our time was up… it was a petty cuz the city is lovely. If you visit Mexico be prepared to tip everyone for everything. I found it a bit uncomfortable that the tour guide was explaining how bad the mexican wages are and how much they are relying on guests to tip them… for us, coming from Europe this is a bit awkward, especially that you had to pay for extra things like a locker and lifewest at the cenote and you pay taxes and the cost of the trip and still at the end they make you feel like you spent the whole day for free and you have to pay them extra cuz they did a great job. And I’m not saying they didn’t do a great job! Just this presentation is unusual for us. but all in all it was a great day, totally recommending it!
