The day starts with pickup from your hotel or confirmed meeting location. After the group boards and the departure process is complete, the route heads south toward two of the most meaningful archaeological areas of the Riviera Maya and the Yucatan Peninsula: Tulum and Coba.The first part of the journey takes approximately 2.5 hours. This transfer gives travelers time to settle in before a full route of coastal ruins, jungle history, regional food, cenote swimming, and free time in Playa del Carmen.

Zona Arqueologica De Tulum
The first major stop brings travelers to Tulum, an ancient Maya city set beside the Caribbean Sea. Its location makes it one of the most visually memorable archaeological sites in the region, where stone structures stand near cliffs, open sky, and coastal views.During the visit, a bilingual guide will share the background of the site, its cultural value, how its inhabitants lived, and some of the explanations connected to the transformation and decline of Maya civilization. The visit to Tulum lasts approximately 90 minutes.After this stop, the group will return to the bus and continue inland toward the Coba area. The drive between Tulum and Coba takes approximately 1 hour.

Zona Arqueologica de Coba
Before entering the archaeological area of Coba, the group will stop at a nearby restaurant for a buffet lunch. Travelers will have approximately 1 hour to enjoy regional dishes and traditional Mexican flavors before continuing the cultural part of the day.Coba offers a completely different atmosphere from Tulum. Here, the ruins are surrounded by jungle paths, vegetation, and an environment where nature and ancient construction appear closely connected. The site is known for one of the tallest pyramids in the Yucatan region and for its importance within the ancient Maya world.During the approximately 1-hour visit, the guide will explain the relevance of Coba, the way the site was discovered, and the role it played as a major Maya city.After the visit, transportation will continue toward Cenote Muul Ichi Ts’ono’ot. The drive to the cenote takes approximately 1 hour and 45 minutes.

Cenote Muul ichi Ts'ono'ot
The next stop changes the rhythm of the day from archaeology to freshwater nature. At Cenote Muul Ichi Ts’ono’ot, travelers can swim in a natural limestone formation, one of the most representative landscapes of the Yucatan Peninsula.For the ancient Maya, cenotes were sacred places, which gives this stop both a refreshing and cultural meaning within the route. After enjoying the cenote, the group will continue toward Playa del Carmen.The transfer from the cenote area to Playa del Carmen takes approximately 45 minutes.

The final visit takes place on Playa del Carmen’s famous Fifth Avenue, one of the liveliest pedestrian areas in the Riviera Maya. Once the free time in Playa del Carmen ends, the guide will confirm the meeting point and boarding time. When all travelers are back on board, transportation will begin the return trip toward Cancun and the Riviera Maya.The ride back takes approximately 2 hours. This final transfer allows guests to rest after a full day combining Tulum’s coastal ruins, Coba’s jungle setting, a regional buffet, cenote waters, and time on Fifth Avenue.

- Since April 21, 2026, archaeological sites in Mexico have applied security rules that restrict entry with backpacks, luggage, and similar belongings. For the visit, we recommend carrying only essential items. The most practical option is to bring small belongings that can fit in your pockets or in a compact personal bag. Some items, such as diaper bags, may be considered exceptions, but the final decision is made directly by the security personnel at the entrance. We are not responsible for any item that is refused by the archaeological site. During this tour, travelers may leave belongings inside the transportation vehicle while completing the scheduled visits.
- Access to the bus or minibus is only allowed at the official boarding time announced by the guide or staff. Guests may not enter the vehicle ahead of schedule, and they may not remain inside while the rest of the group is away. This rule is applied because other travelers may have belongings stored inside the vehicle, and controlled access helps protect everyone’s personal items.
- Transportation units and seats are assigned by the operations team according to availability, route planning, group size, and the needs of the day. Guests cannot select a specific bus, minibus, seat, row, or space through the platform, at pickup, or directly with staff. Although our team will always try to keep the ride comfortable, no exact vehicle or seat can be reserved, blocked, or guaranteed.
- If you are traveling with friends, relatives, or another group under a different booking, please notify us before the tour date if you would like to travel together. When all travelers depart from the same accommodation, our team may try to coordinate the request, although it is not guaranteed. If the pickup points are in the same city but at different hotels, we may review the possibility, but traveling together still cannot be assured. Reservations departing from different cities cannot be coordinated in the same vehicle.
- This tour only includes pickup from the cities and zones listed in the Transportation section of the product. Travelers cannot join the experience directly at Chichen Itza, at any attraction on the itinerary, or at any location outside the approved pickup coverage. For example, arriving at Chichen Itza in your own vehicle to meet the group is not permitted. Pickup from a hotel within the listed service area, such as Moon Palace Resort, may be possible depending on the coverage shown for the tour. For safety, communication, and proper organization, every traveler must meet our team in the morning at the assigned pickup point, board the official transportation, and complete the required check-in process before the tour begins.
- If your reservation does not yet include a confirmed hotel or meeting point, this information must be sent to our team no later than the day before the tour. From Monday to Saturday, the cutoff time is 21:50 hrs, GMT-5. On Sundays, the cutoff time is 8:00 PM, GMT-5. The information may be sent through any available contact channel. After the cutoff time, last-minute pickup arrangements can no longer be processed. If the required hotel or meeting point is not received on time, the reservation will automatically move to the next available date. This change has no additional cost, fee, or penalty. However, once the automatic rescheduling has been applied, the booking will no longer be eligible for a refund.
- The durations shown in the itinerary describe the full time assigned to each segment of the route.
