MUSA Diving For Beginners in Cancun
Overview
MUSA Cancun is a very successful conservation project, one of the first of its class. In order to maintain the natural reefs, the local and federal authorities and dive shops in the area made an effort and sunk over 400 statues to make an artificial reef, After MUSA was sunk, Manchones Reef recovered over 40% of its natural beauty.
We combine two of the best things to do in Cancun: dive and visit the world-famous Underwater Museum (MUSA).
It doesn’t matter if you are not a PADI-certified diver; you can take the class and join us on this incredible adventure.
Discover Scuba Diving is PADI`s first step to becoming a diver. This dive lesson in Cancun is perfect for those who want to feel how it feels to breathe underwater.

What To Expect
This Diving Experience is done on the same day & No prior diving experience required
Join us at 8:00 am for check-in.
At 8:15 we will start the PADI Discovery Scuba Diving lesson with one of our certified PADI Diving Instructors. We go first with the theory part and around noon we jump in the pool for quick practice.
By 9:00 am we are ready to go, we set up your equipment on the boat and get you ready for this amazing experience.
After a 20-minute boat ride we get inside the Federal Protected Area where the Underwater Museum MUSA is located, we get ready and jump in the water.
We do the first dive in MUSA at 30 ft deep, where we are able to see how the coral has been growing in the statues for the last decade forming new life in the area.
After the first dive, come back on board, switch tanks and get ready for our second dive
The second dive is at Manchones reef at 30 ft, where we are able to see the amazing reef and dive it for another 45 minutes!
Back in the shop around 1:30 pm.

Participants in the MUSA Diving For Beginners in Cancun cannot fly in an airplane within 24 hours of their dive.
The main concern with scuba diving and flying is decompression sickness (DCS). Your body needs adequate time during an ascent to off-gas excess nitrogen, or you can form bubbles in your bloodstream, possibly leading to DCS.
Jun 2024If you have any doubts about becoming seasick on the water, we recommend taking a Dramamine® Motion Sickness Relief tablet the night before your trip. Some people recommend taking it the night before your cruise and then again that morning so you will not feel so drowsy.
Feb 2023- For a full refund, you must cancel at least 24 hours before the tour start time.
- If you cancel less than 24 hours before the tour start time, the amount you paid will not be refunded.
- Any changes made less than 24 hours before the tour start time will not be accepted.
