Tulum Ruins, Cobá Site, Cenote and Playa del Carmen, from Cancun
Overview
Experience four unforgettable sides of the Riviera Maya in one full-day shared tour from Cancun: the cliffside ruins of Tulum, the jungle atmosphere of Cobá, the refreshing waters of Cenote Muul Ichi Ts'ono'ot, and the lively energy of Playa del Carmen’s famous 5th Av.
Your journey begins with pickup in Cancun before heading toward Tulum, an ancient Maya city set above the Mexican Caribbean. With your bilingual guide, you’ll discover the stories, traditions, and mysteries behind this coastal archaeological site while enjoying one of the most scenic landscapes in the region.
The route continues toward Cobá, where jungle paths and ancient stone structures reveal a deeper, more hidden side of the Maya world. Along the way, enjoy a regional buffet lunch before cooling off in a beautiful cenote surrounded by natural limestone scenery. To close the day, enjoy free time on Playa del Carmen’s 5th Avenue, a vibrant pedestrian street filled with shops, restaurants, music, and Caribbean charm.

- Since April 21, 2026, archaeological sites in Mexico have applied security restrictions that prevent visitors from entering with backpacks or luggage. We recommend bringing only the essential items needed for the visit, preferably belongings small enough to carry in your pockets or in a compact personal bag. Some exceptions may be accepted, such as diaper bags, but access approval depends entirely on the archaeological site security staff. We cannot assume responsibility for any belongings that are denied entry by site authorities. For this specific tour, however, travelers may leave their items inside the transportation vehicle during the scheduled visits.
- For safety and security, the transportation vehicle may only be accessed at the boarding time officially indicated by the guide or staff. Guests cannot enter the vehicle ahead of time or remain inside while the rest of the group is visiting a stop, as personal belongings from other travelers may be stored there. This rule helps protect everyone’s items during the tour.
- Important notice: This experience operates under a route planned for travelers staying in Cancun, Costa Mujeres, Puerto Morelos, and nearby northern Quintana Roo areas. Guests staying farther south, including Playa del Carmen, Riviera Maya, or Tulum, may still join the tour, but the itinerary must be adjusted. In these cases, the visit to Playa del Carmen is not included, because Playa del Carmen is normally the final stop before the transportation returns to the northern part of the state. For southern area pickups, the route and transportation logistics are handled separately. When booking from Playa del Carmen, Riviera Maya, or Tulum, the experience will include Tulum, Cobá, the cenote, and lunch only. The Playa del Carmen stop will be omitted. By reserving from the southern area of Quintana Roo, you confirm that you understand and accept this itinerary modification. You also agree that this adjustment does not qualify for any compensation, partial refund, full refund, credit, or reimbursement of any kind.
- This tour/activity will have a maximum of 50 travelers
