Overview
Scuba dive with a personalized service in spots outside of the bay of Cancun full of marine life known as Punta Cancun reefs, this activity is for those divers who want something more challenging in Cancun!
Punta Cancun reefs located outside of the bay with a depth of 15 - 17 mts. / 50 - 56 ft. Such us: San Toribio, Ginas, San Miguel, La Herradura, Punta Negra, El tunel, Aristos (La Iglesia), Grampin, offer beautiful coral formations and sea life in and around the reefs, making Cancun a versatile spot for divers!
This activity is for minimum OPEN WATER DIVERS or equivalent, SCUBA certification card required.
IMPORTANT: - People with asthma, heart or brain problems, high blood pressure, lung lesions, organ transplant, diabetes, epilepsy, or any surgery less than 1 year, CAN NOT dive.
- Keep in mind you need to rest between 18 - 24 hours after diving before take an airplane.

What To Expect
When you arrive, you will fill a medical statement asking about your health conditions, then you will do two tank dives in two different Punta Cancun reefs:
- Check in: 1:30 p.m. - Boat departure: 2:00 p.m. and returning to dock: 5:30 p.m.
- IMPORTANT TO KNOW:
- Bring your scuba certification card (plastic, digital, picture, etc)
- People with asthma, heart or brain problems, high blood pressure, lung lesions, organ transplant, diabetes, epilepsy, or any surgery less than 1 year, CAN NOT dive.
- Keep in mind you need to rest 24 hours after diving before taking an airplane.
- Bring towels, swimsuits and/or any other thing for your personal care that you think you are going to use.
- Sunscreen/sunblock are not allowed for coral protection.
- As the activity is from a boat, we suggest taking anti-nausea pills, 1 or 2 hours before getting on the boat for best effects.

As an active member of the Dolphin SMART program, we do not have physical contact with the dolphins on 2 Tanks Scuba Diving in Punta Cancun Reefs for Certified Divers. We watch them in their natural habitat from the boat.
Dec 2022Participants in the 2 Tanks Scuba Diving in Punta Cancun Reefs for Certified Divers cannot fly in an airplane within 24 hours of their dive.
The main concern with scuba diving and flying is decompression sickness (DCS). Your body needs adequate time during an ascent to off-gas excess nitrogen, or you can form bubbles in your bloodstream, possibly leading to DCS.
Jun 2024- For a full refund, you must cancel at least 24 hours before the tour start time.
- If you cancel less than 24 hours before the tour start time, the amount you paid will not be refunded.
- Any changes made less than 24 hours before the tour start time will not be accepted.
- Cut-off times are based on the tour local time (EST).
- This tour requires a minimum number of travelers. If it’s canceled because the minimum isn’t met, you’ll be offered a different date/experience or a full refund.
