Meeting and Pickup

Pickup point
Pickup details

This experience comes with round-trip transportation, with both pickup and return included from your hotel/accommodation or from an assigned meeting point, depending on the service conditions that apply to your location.Transportation service is available in the following areas:CANCÚN* Hotel Zone (Blvd Kukulcan) * Downtown area * Puerto Cancún * Puerto Juárez * Punta Sam * Playa Mujeres * Costa MujeresPUERTO MORELOS* Coastal hotel and resort zone of Riviera Maya and Puerto MorelosPLAYA DEL CARMEN* Coastal hotel and resort zone of Riviera Maya and Playa del Carmen * Downtown area * Hotel Zone * Playacar * Playa Paraíso * Punta Maroma * El Caracol * Paamul * Xcaret HotelsRIVIERA MAYA* Coastal hotel and resort corridor throughout Riviera Maya * Puerto Aventuras * Xpu Ha * Akumal * Chemuyil * Xcacel * Jacinto PatTULUM* NO hotel pickup is offered. Only one meeting point is used in downtown Tulum, specifically in the area where Boca Paila Avenue intersects with the Cancún-Tulum Highway. The exact meeting spot may change slightly depending on where our transportation vehicle is permitted to park. For that reason, the day before your trip you will be notified of the precise location where you must meet us the following day.IMPORTANT:In Cancún: Any hotel or accommodation situated in the southwestern quadrant of the city, between the intersection of Av Cancún and Av Kabah, as well as within the northern quadrant after Av José López Portillo, is served exclusively through a meeting point in downtown Cancún because of safety-related factors and poor street conditions. Even if your hotel or accommodation appears on the listed options, transportation will be arranged from the downtown area.Any hotel or accommodation located in the northern quadrant of Cancún, after Av José López Portillo, is also served exclusively through a meeting point in the downtown area due to safety concerns and poor road conditions. Even if your accommodation appears listed, the transportation service will be scheduled from downtown Cancún.In Playa del Carmen: Any hotel or accommodation located outside the downtown perimeter, between 30 Av Sur and Av Luis Donaldo Colosio, is served only through a meeting point in central Playa del Carmen because of security factors and poor street conditions. Even if your property appears listed, transportation will be arranged from the downtown area. This rule does not apply if your accommodation is within the Playacar hotel area or at one of the Riviera Maya resorts located immediately north or south of Playa del Carmen. For most hotels and accommodations within the metropolitan coastal area of Playa del Carmen, for example a property located on 5th Avenue, the closest possible meeting point will be assigned. Local traffic authorities restrict shared transportation vehicles from entering streets that run parallel to the beach. In most cases, the designated meeting location is only a few minutes away on foot, at the nearest authorized bus stop to your accommodation. This experience does NOT provide pickup directly from hotels located on any island and does not include ferry tickets or any other island crossing tickets in either direction. If you are staying, for example, on Isla Mujeres or Cozumel, you must make the crossing by your own means. Our vehicle will meet you at the bus stop nearest the ferry terminal on the mainland side of Riviera Maya, and your return will be provided to the same place where you boarded.Access restrictions can apply to certain accommodations, hotels, or resorts because of security-related circumstances, physical road closures, restrictions imposed by authorities, streets in poor condition, or unpaved routes that cannot be accessed by vehicle. If this applies to your reservation, the final confirmation sent the day before your trip will direct you to the closest accessible meeting point and/or bus stop.Restrictions may also apply when entering medium-sized or large hotel properties, resorts, or hotel complexes, depending on the individual rules established by each hotel. While most properties allow transportation services for shared experiences to enter, some may deny access for security or privacy reasons. In these cases, the final confirmation sent one day before your trip will instruct you to meet at the hotel entrance or at the closest accessible meeting point outside the hotel property. If the meeting location selected during your reservation was later confirmed by our team through the final confirmation, but that place is not actually the accommodation where you are staying, you are required to notify our team in writing by email, reservation chat, text message, or WhatsApp, preferably within the first minutes/hours after receiving the final confirmation. This allows us to reorganize the pickup accordingly and meet you outside your actual accommodation or at a different meeting point. If you did not notify our team in writing in advance and attempt to request a change only a few minutes before, during, or after your assigned pickup time, the request will be subject to availability and approval, and there is no commitment or guarantee that the modification can be made. A last-minute change could interfere with the assigned pickup times of other travelers and affect the itinerary of passengers who are already on board. As part of our operating procedure, our team will always first look for travelers in the hotel lobby, boarding area, or front desk and, afterward, when previously approved, at the newly assigned meeting location.Exact pickup times differ greatly depending on the area where travelers are staying. We operate multiple vehicles, and each vehicle is assigned to a specific zone, so no single vehicle covers every pickup area. Some estimated schedules are:Cancún downtown and Hotel Zone: 6:30 AM – 7:45 AM Playa Mujeres and Costa Mujeres: 5:50 AM – 6:50 AM Puerto Morelos: 6:45 AM – 7:30 AM Playa del Carmen and Playacar: 7:10 AM – 7:55 AM Riviera Maya: 7:30 – 8:30 AM Tulum: 9:30 AMBy booking, you understand and agree that the approximate pickup times shown above are not final or definitive and may vary according to the exact location of each hotel or meeting point.By making a reservation, you also understand and accept that you are booking an experience whose transportation logistics originate in Cancún. Therefore, the farther your accommodation is from central Cancún, the earlier or later your pickup time may be.The time shown on your ticket is the average boarding time commonly assigned to most travelers. Please contact our team directly to verify your exact pickup time. If you have any questions, also confirm your assigned meeting location directly with our team. Please arrive properly prepared and on time at the designated place, at least 5 minutes before your assigned pickup time. Waiting periods are extremely limited, and transportation cannot remain waiting indefinitely for a participant. Please respect the established schedule. Be considerate and keep in mind that even minor delays can accumulate throughout the pickup route, affecting travelers who are already taking part in the experience as well as those who are still waiting to be collected.REMEMBER: One day before your trip, you will receive a final confirmation message through the contact channels connected to your reservation. This message will include your exact pickup time and boarding location. It will be sent through the reservation chat, email, and the telephone number provided during booking through WhatsApp and/or text message, depending on which communication methods the number supports and which allow us to contact you and confirm receipt. For this reason, we strongly ask travelers to provide truthful, current, active, and reachable contact information.

  • Public transportation options are available nearby
  • This tour involves a lot of walking, so we recommend wearing comfortable shoes and clothing.
  • During tour stops, guests may only access the transportation vehicle when the guide or staff indicates the official boarding time. Entering the vehicle earlier or staying inside while the rest of the group is away is not allowed, since other travelers may have personal belongings stored inside. This policy is applied for security reasons and to protect everyone’s items.
  • Vehicles and seats for group transportation are assigned by the operations team based on the availability and organization of the day. Although we always try to help travelers ride comfortably, we cannot hold, reserve, or guarantee exact seats or spaces inside a particular vehicle.
  • If you are traveling with friends, family, or another party booked under a separate reservation and you would like to ride together, please inform our team in advance so we can check what is possible. • Infants are required to sit on an adult’s lap

Please contact us before your tour if you need to travel with luggage, so we can review your assigned transportation and confirm whether it may be accepted. Space is limited, and approval is never guaranteed.
  • Since April 21, 2026, archaeological sites in Mexico have enforced security rules that do not allow visitors to enter with backpacks or luggage. We suggest carrying only the essentials for the visit, preferably small items that can fit in your pockets or in a compact personal bag. Some exceptions may apply, such as diaper bags, but the final decision is made by the security personnel at the site. We are not responsible for any belongings that are refused at the entrance. For this tour, however, travelers may leave their items inside the transportation vehicle while completing the scheduled stops.

If the reservations start from different cities, this coordination cannot be handled.
  • This tour only operates pickups from the cities and areas listed in the Transportation section. Travelers cannot join the tour directly at Chichen Itza, at any attraction included in the itinerary, or at any location outside the authorized pickup regions. For example, meeting the group at Chichen Itza with your own vehicle is not permitted. However, requesting pickup from a hotel located within the listed service areas (example: Moon Palace resort) may be possible. For safety, communication, and proper tour organization, all travelers must meet our team in the morning at the assigned pickup location, board our transportation service, and complete the required check in process before the tour begins.
  • If your booking does not yet include a confirmed hotel or assigned meeting point, this information must be sent to our team before the cutoff time on the day before your tour. From Monday to Saturday, the latest time to provide it is 21:50 hrs (GMT-5). On Sundays, the latest time is 8:00 PM (GMT-5). You may send this information through any of our available contact channels. After the cutoff time, last minute pickup arrangements can no longer be processed. If the required hotel or meeting point details are not received on time, the booking will automatically be moved to the next available date. This rescheduling is free of charge and does not include any penalty or additional fee. However, once this automatic rescheduling applies, the reservation will no longer qualify for a refund.
  • The times shown in the itinerary refer to the overall duration of each segment, including transportation between locations, the visit or activity time at the stop, and the time needed to continue or return along the route. These times should not be understood as the exact amount of time spent only at each attraction. Please review the itinerary details for the approximate breakdown of timing throughout the experience.
  • Our team always works to follow the planned schedule as closely as possible. However, the timing of the tour also depends on travelers being ready at the assigned pickup time in the morning and returning on time at each stop during the day. Traffic conditions may also affect the route and are outside our control. Please help us keep the experience organized by respecting the indicated meeting times and the time allowed at each location. Even a delay that seems small, such as arriving one minute late, can build up throughout the day and affect a significant part of the overall schedule.
  • The box lunch included in this experience is fixed. It is served as part of the regular meal option and cannot be adapted for special diets, food restrictions, or personal meal preferences.

Cool Cancun wants to make your searches as relevant as possible. That's why we offer many ways to help you find the right experiences for you.

On some pages, you can select how to sort the results we display and also use filter options to see only those search results that meet your chosen preferences. You'll see explanations of what those sort options mean when you select them.

If you see a Badge of Excellence label, the award is based on average review ratings, share of bookings with a review, and number of bookings through Cool Cancun over a 12-month period.

The importance of any one factor over any other in a sort order varies, and the balance is constantly being reviewed and adjusted. We're always updating our systems and testing new ways to refine and improve your results to make them as relevant as possible to meet your needs.
